Hi,

There is a new game being developed whose goal is to let average gamers solve protein-folding problems. It's quite simple to play, no background required. I've created a FAF clan to represent us (and hopefully boost our visibility). The way scores work is that each clan gets the score of the highest-scoring member for each protein. And if a clan's score is the highest for a given protein (excluding unclanned players), then the clan name shows up next to the puzzle, which means a boost to our visibility. So I urge you to play it.

Right now, signups are by invitation only. So PM me your email address if you want an invite, and I'll send instructions on how to sign up and join the clan, see the intro video, etc. I'm deliberately not posting the link to the game, by the way. I know they're releasing a new version tomorrow so I don't want a link to something unfinished even for the next 24 hours or so.

Cheers,
Beatles

I should re-emphasis that this is easy for the casual gamer to play, and also fun. Not to mention that if you want to do something to promote FAF, this is a decent way to do so.

Easy it may be, but protien folding is an interest shared by a select few. To be honest I don't even know what it means :*laughs*:

I don't know - if this is a no obligation, play-when-I-want game, I might give it a go.

That's quite correct. It's a casual game. Don't be put off by the label: it's essentially a puzzle game.

Click the link in your first email to sign up. Click the link in the second email to validate your email. Then download the game and fire it up. It should be self-explanatory at that point, plus there's the video and all.

Carbzz has a huge interest in protein and can't understand when others do not share his interest.
I know the voices in my head arn't real but they usually have some pretty good ideas.
