..."I'm sorry, but I really can't see anything redeeming in your philosophy other than that dinosaurs are cute."

The Kraken, which is found primarily in Scandinavian myth, was a huge sea creature. It was said to lie at the bottom of the sea for a long time and then it would rest at the surface....Like the Midgard serpent in the Norse myths, the Kraken was supposed to rise to the surface at the end of the world.

I am tempted to de-spam this topic... but I guess I'll leave it.

Say, Beatles, perhaps we should be a LITTLE more assertive about defending our 'trademark'. Perhaps in the distributed version, we could leave out the little FAF icon, hopefully preventing user confusion over who is the 'original' FAF. Not that folks like this are acting in bad faith, of course, but having Frost and Flame as the name of every game with our code could get a bit confusing.

Well, people shouldn't be using our name. Frost and Flame Promisance is this. We can't have other sites using that. Credit -should- be due to FaF, but it shouldn't be their name.

After re-reading Bjorn, I agree... I think.

Sure, that sounds reasonable, and I think there are no licence issues. I'll figure out exactly what needs to be done and put it in the script. Care to make this a to-do item for me in the forum?

Kinda cute, 8-bit type logo

I do wish people would be more creative and rename their games though

There's issues with the theme, but perhaps this is a path we could take with a theme makeover. I like the "wooden" backgrounds and the softness of the colours - our theme is starting to look a little dark and retro these days.

And these all ship with the "?source" script, templates are in a public directory, so we can freely inspect and copy any improvements into our source tree (and we have full rights to do so).

Ah yes, this isn't the Altruist Licence (we may give, but may not take). :P (Or even the BSD licence -- now come on flamers.)

Hm. It might be good to find a free image to use in a "header" sort of position for the front page - just makes it all look more visually appealing. Unfortunately, since none of us have great artistic skill (that I know of), we'd need to find something that is free (as in speech).
